Now its time to cut the
3/4 by 3/4 notches that the stringers will connect to. The stringers is what
connects the ribs together and forms the skeleton of the hovercraft.
You will understand this better when I have picture of the stringers attached to the frame (ribs) in subsequent steps. For now, just imagine 3/4 x 3/4 x 14 foot wood laying from the front of the hovercraft to the rear of the craft placed in the notches that I have cut out. The picture on the left shows the stringer notches that I cut out for rib 2. |

Stringer notches cut out for rib 6 with a few additional cuts that will be used where the seating will connect to. Also notice that the last rib (rib 7) is shown on the bottom of both of these images. It's the easiest rib to make because you only need to cut it to length and notch out for the stringer. | |
| The next steps are to Epoxy the ribs together and then I can start to cut the stringers. That will have to be done sometime next weekend. | ||
